About the Ten by Twenty
In fall of 2012, President Ronald J. Daniels released a draft version of the Ten by Twenty — an articulation of the priorities for Johns Hopkins University through the remainder of the decade — and invited the university community to share their thoughts. Over the ensuing six months, he and other members of the university leadership hosted more than 35 discussions with more than 1,000 members of the university community.
With that feedback in hand, President Daniels released the final version of the document in May 2013. Ten goals were organized under four overarching priorities: one university, individual excellence, commitment to our communities, and institution building. As a measure of accountability, President Daniels committed to providing regular reports on the university’s progress toward the goals outlined in the plan.
